Royal Armouries Leeds

Main entrance. Good architecture, has a see thru' wall to a spiral staircase that displays weapons, from swords to armours to guns.

Falconry demonstration. The birds fly and attack... a teddy bear.. which they place on the ground as prey. Impressive indeed.

How can one fight in the kind of armour? No wonder they need material engineers to invent the Kevlar. Anyway Kevlar was created in Du Pont's labs. Cheers Du Pont.

依張就係當年 "國產零零漆" 入面 "達文西" 所發明既 "間諜櫈"適合用作長時間監視..

就係甘座係到..... 怕未!

A nice message about transforming war to peace and guns to love.. but can wars and conflicts really be ceased? "And you will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places." Matthew 24:6-7. It's the end of times, buddy. Open your eyes, and see.

Charlie Mo Dinning Room

Waiting for the brunch to be served. I was early and I gotta wait, took the pictures. That's my meal card. xerox photo, the best way to make yourself look like a criminal. Pull the meal card from the rack, get your food, slot the card back on the rack at the other side of the dinning hall. See the multi-coloured board? That's the meal card rack. Cheers.

Key

The Key. Opens almost all doors that I need to access on Charlie Mo site. That's how it goes for life, you only need one Key in order to live life to the fullest. Do you have it?

SPEME

Leeds University Business School or LUBS. Ranked 3rd of business schools in Europe. Nice architecture, converted from an old church. Just like NUS Business School, rank 1st in Clementi. 吹水唔抹嘴.

SPEME = School of Process, Environmental and Materials Engineering. Home of chemical engineers. Doing a course on safety managment. It seems that everything in the world can just go, *boom*. but I love it.

Mysterious Appearance of Homer Simpson, probably off work from his nuclear plant, and on the way to SPEME to give a lecture. Anyway, I think he formulated the 1/3 and 3/8 Simpson's rule together with his son Bart.

The path across St. George's field to SPEME. See the stuff by the side of the path. Tombstones.

Room

My new room. Keroro diary, NDS, 6280, iphone wallpaper on samsung notebook. banana, cheese salad and a mars bar for lunch. Bed with a not too good spring mattress. Seem to have lots of clothes. And also a bunch of toiletries. See the red leaflet? Charlie Chans Chinese Takeaway, maybe I should get some 白飯 for a pound. I miss rice.

Leeds City Centre 1

Decided to take a walk to city centre in the afternoon.

2pm in the afternoon, and sun doesn't seem to want to stay high up any longer.

This is Leeds Metropolitan University, some other university just down the road, much smaller though.

That's 'the light' with a cinema though no one watches movies here. Hard rock cafe and tiger tiger, are more popular. It's all about clubs, pubs and bars after all. How ironical to house these near 'the light'. Let's pray that the Light overshadows them.. soon.

你話佢係銅鑼灣又好, 旺角都得, 麻雀雖小五臟俱全, take it or leave it.
Leeds United 專門店, "Sale" 字樣仲大過個招牌, 2005-2006球季波杉, 5磅 一件, 都係無人問津.

Never visited this, but I think it is a good restaurant. I love my cooking.
More about the city centre soon.

Goodbye St. Mark's

Finally moved out of St. Mark's. I first step into the humble little house and didnt quite like it. The room was alright, old but at least clean. The intolerable problems are in the bathroom and shower. The flush works occasionally, only when you don't need it to. The water does not drain off when you shower, it just wells up and flood. Although pumps, pipes excite me, faulty sewage pipes certainly don't. So much for a chemical engineer. But i certainly take pride as one still.

Alix couldn't stand it either. Somehow she managed to find a place 2 days earlier than me, did it with some charm perhaps. She's at Lupton and I decided to go catered though I certainly missed my own cooking, so here I am, at Charles Morris. Goodbye St. Marks for now.
